Brad Paisley wrote a new song in honor of his father, Doug, who was a fireman, for the new Disney movie “Planes: Fire & Rescue”, which is a follow-up to 2013’s “Planes.”
The song is called “All In,” and highlights the bravery and sacrifice made by firefighters. Besdies the song, Brad has a voice role in the movie. He tells USA Today, “My earliest memories are on these fire trucks. There are more photographs of me from age 5 to 10 on these fire engines than there are photographs of me on birthdays.”
Brad even thought that he might be a firefighter one day, like his dad, “But I took the music path and got really busy. It just wasn’t in the cards for me. The best hopes are my kids, probably.”
Among the song’s lyrics: “Without hesitation in the face of fear and doubt/There’s smoke and flames and everybody needs out/They’re all in.”
Brad sings another song in the movie, which is due out July 18 and will play the role of a heartbroken pickup truck named “Bubba” who has one line in the movie. This isn’t their first time Brad’s teamed up with the Pixar team, singing songs for “Cars” and “Cars 2”.
Chris Young’s kitchen accident has turned into quite the fiasco for him. What was thought to have been a bad but managable cut has resulted in two surgeries to repair tendons and now several weeks in a cast and rehab.
His mom, Becky Harris says on her Facebook page, his fingers are “looking good color wise,” and, “He will be in a soft cast for another two weeks, then in a hard cast for the next 4 after that.”
She also added that she’s not sure about the stitches but, “there are a LOT of them. His surgeon did a great job on the second surgery, and obviously we can’t see the repair work due to the cast.”

Florida Georgia Line has been using the hashtag #cantaffordnotto on some recent tweets and Instagram posts, and it turns out it’s part of them expanding their footprint with a clothing line called ‘Can’t Afford Not To.’
Tyler says, “We’re going to start a website. We’re going to start a clothing line, ‘Can’t Afford Not To.’ It’s just become a cool thing, one of those sayings that keeps coming up. So we’ll see what happens with it.”
Tyler explains say the phrase is one “we’ve all said…B-K and myself and kind of our whole camp and crew…It just became a popular saying among our friends.” He says it’s their version of the “Keep Calm” trend.
They haven’t given a launch date for the line.

Due to flooding from heavy rains over the past several days, the Florida Department of Health would like to remind everyone of the importance of protecting themselves against mosquito-borne diseases. The public should remain diligent in taking precautions to eliminate areas where mosquitoes may breed and reduce the possibility of being bitten by mosquitoes:
DRAIN standing water to stop mosquitoes from multiplying.
– Drain water from garbage cans, house gutters, buckets, pool covers, coolers, toys, flower pots or any other containers where sprinkler or rain water has collected.
– Discard old tires, drums, bottles, cans, pots and pans, broken appliances and other items that aren’t being used.
– Empty and clean birdbaths and pets’ water bowls at least once or twice a week.
– Protect boats and vehicles from rain with tarps that don’t accumulate water.
– Maintain swimming pools in good condition and appropriately chlorinated. Empty plastic swimming pools when not in use.
COVER skin with clothing or repellent.
CLOTHING – Wear shoes, socks, long pants and long-sleeves. This type of protection may be necessary for people who must work in areas where mosquitoes are present.
REPELLENT – Apply mosquito repellent to bare skin and clothing. Always use repellents according to the label. Repellents with DEET, picaridin, oil of lemon eucalyptus, and IR3535 are effective. Use mosquito netting to protect children younger than 2 months old.
Tips on Repellent Use
– Always read label directions carefully for the approved usage before you apply a repellent. Some repellents are not suitable for children.
– Products with concentrations of up to 30 percent DEET (N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide) are generally recommended. Other US Environmental Protection Agency-approved repellents contain Picaridin, oil of lemon eucalyptus, or IR3535. These products are generally available at local pharmacies. Look for active ingredients to be listed on the product label.
– Apply insect repellent to exposed skin, or onto clothing, but not under clothing.
– In protecting children, read label instructions to be sure the repellent is age-appropriate.
– According to the CDC, mosquito repellents containing oil of lemon eucalyptus should not be used on children under the age of three years. DEET is not recommended on children younger than two months old.
– Avoid applying repellents to the hands of children. Adults should apply repellent first to their own hands and then transfer it to the child’s skin and clothing.
– If additional protection is necessary, apply a permethrin repellent directly to your clothing.
– Again, always follow the manufacturer’s directions.
– Repair broken screening on windows, doors, porches, and patios.

It seems like every woman wouldn’t mind to share a kiss with Luke Bryan. Well, the lady that gets to kiss him regularly, his wife Caroline, says it’s something you would probably have to do yourself, like she did.
“He was always a gentleman,” she tells People Country she says of their time dating at Georgia Southern. “We hung out as friends and he never made a move on me. I kissed him first! He was always scared of making a girl feel uncomfortable, he wouldn’t cross a line.”
When they met, Luke was a senior and Caroline was a freshman. She is also glad the world is now getting a chance to know Luke like she and their kids do. “In college, we used to go dancing in a club til 4 a.m. and he’s just as silly at home as he is on stage. He walks around dancing all day, just being goofy.”
Dierks Bentley recently shared 25 things fans might not know about him with Us Weekly, including the fact that he has chronic insomnia, he has a boat that Kenny Chesney gave him as an end-of-tour gift in 2006 but it only has 13.5 hours on it because he says, “Kids!” and he’s learning to play fiddle through his daughter Jordan’s fiddle lessons. He says he can play “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” on fiddle.
