Enter your name and information in the registration box at the Pensacola Interstate Fair located at the Cat Country 98.7 booth, during fair operating hours or at the ADX business office located at 7251 Plantation Road, Pensacola, Florida 32504 during normal business hours Monday thru Friday 10/19/17 – 10/29/17 or on line at catcountry987.com.

D. HOW TO PLAY

Enter official contest entry form with all information complete into the registration box or Digital Kiosk. Daily The Grand Prize winner will be announced on the air on Monday, October 30, 2017 and contacted within 3 business days using information from completed entry form.  If unable to contact the first eligible winner, another will be drawn and contacted in the same manner until an eligible winner is located.

E.  ELIGIBILITY

This is a local contest sponsored by Cat Country 98.7, and it has no connection to any other organization.  The Contest is open to all Cat Country listeners 18 or older who live in the Pensacola Total Survey Area (TSA) (as defined by a national survey ratings company).  All winners must have legal residence in the counties that are in the Pensacola TSA coverage area as defined by the Nielson Company. Only one winner per household.

F. PRIZE

Assorted prizes to be determined by October 29, 2017.

All prizes must be accepted as awarded and are non-transferable.

To claim prize, winner must provide government-issued photo ID that Station will make a copy of, come to the Station’s business office at 7251 Plantation Road, Pensacola, Florida, 32504 and complete the eligibility forms, Station waiver and release forms, and IRS W-9 form.

Dierks Bentley Gives Back to First Responders

What happened October 1, 2017 at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas shook up a lot of country music stars, including Dierks Bentley. Bentley wanted to help the victims of the mass shooting. He donated blood at the Red Cross blood drive.

However, Dierks decided that wasn’t enough. He wanted to give something back to the first responders who were at the Festival. So, on Monday, October 9th, Dierks flew to Las Vegas to perform for those first responders.

Dierks went to instagram and posted pictures with this in the caption: “Thank you @UMCSN for letting me stop by and hang with y’all for a little bit”, and “Thank you for sharing your stories and your time. I needed that.”

Cat Country 98.7 named CMA Station of the Year 2017

CatCountry 98.7 named 2017 CMA Station of the Year

Pensacola’s locally-owned country radio station, CatCountry 98.7, has been named 2017 Radio Station of the Year by the Country Music Association (CMA).  Keith Urban called Brent and Candy to announce the win this morning. This is the first time Cat Country 98.7 has won the coveted CMA Station of the Year award..

CatCountry 98.7 personalities Brent & Candy were also nominated by the CMA for the 2017 Radio Personalities of the Year for The Cat Pak Morning Show. Brent & Candy’s CatPak Morning Show is “Live & Local” 5A to 10A Monday-Friday along with Jenna Scott who gets you through your work day from 10-2, and Bo Dalton keeps you company on the ride home each afternoon from 2-7.

 

The CMA Awards will air on WEAR ABC 3 on November 8th at 7pm. Brent and Candy will be broadcasting live from Nashville in the days leading up to the awards show.

Texas’ ACL Music Festival Offers Ticket Refunds

Image result for route 91 shootingollowing the deadliest mass shooting that took place at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas the Texas’ ACL Music Festival, held outdoors, decided to offer refunds to ticket holders for the upcoming ACL Music Festival scheduled for October 6-8th and the 13-15th.

Austin360 reports that organizers of the ACL Music Festival, which is to be held Austin’s Zilker Park, announced they would issue refunds for the festival. Despite the shooting and the offer of refunds there were only two requests for refunds as of October 3rd.

The city of Austin announced that safety of festival goers is a priority at the upcoming ACL Music Festival.

Prior to the events that unfolded at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, the Texas’  ACL festival announced that security measures would be stricter. These restrictions include the ban of e-cigarette use and only allowing certain sized bags be carried into the festival.

ACL Music Festival refunds are issued via Front Gate Tickets.

B. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE ODDS OF WINNING.  Void where prohibited.  Odds of winning depend upon the number of participants.

C.  HOW TO ENTER

Listen to Cat Country 98.7.

D. HOW TO PLAY

Listen for the  Cue to call between 7am-7pm.  When you hear it be the 9th caller at 850-430-1987.  Each winner is qualified a grand prize Dream Trip to the CMA Awards from the Pensacola International Airport.  Every winner will receive a pair of tickets to the Cat Country 98.7 CMA Awards Party on November 8th.

E.  ELIGIBILITY

The contest is open to all Cat Country 98.7 listeners who live in the immediate Pensacola listening area.

a.       At least one (1) trip participant must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older at the time of the trip. Minimum age for 2nd participant is thirteen (13) years of age. NO EXCEPTIONS.

b.       A parent or legal guardian must accompany any trip participant under eighteen (18) years of age.

c.        No parent or legal guardian may leave anyone under eighteen (18) years of age alone (or in the care of anyone else) at any time, event, venue or in the hotel.

To be eligible to receive grand prize, contestant must be able to prove legal residence in one of the following counties: Escambia, Florida – Santa Rosa, Florida – Escambia, Alabama – Baldwin, Alabama – Okaloosa, Florida. No previous trip winner is eligible.

A.Due to delays in the online streaming of the Station’s broadcast signal, listeners to the online stream may not be able to participate in or may be disadvantaged in participating in on-air contests. Entrants are encouraged to listen to the Station on-air. The Station is not responsible for online streaming delays.

F. PRIZES

Each qualifier receives 2 tickets the CatCountry 98.7 CMA Awards party (Location TBA).  One Grand Prize winner will receive 2 CMA Awards Tickets, 2 Nights Hotel Accommodations,  Airfare for 2 from the Pensacola International Airport, plus additional prizes may be awarded.  (does not include spending money).

All prizes must be accepted as awarded and are non-transferable.  To claim prize, winner must come to the station during the hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday trough Friday, within 30 days after winning, and provide government-issued photo ID and that Station will copy for file. After identification procedure and forms are satisfactorily completed, winner may claim their prize. If prize is cash prize will be sent to winners mailing address no later than 30 days after prize is won. The station’s business office is at 7251 Plantation Road, Pensacola, Florida.
