Carrie Underwood Shuts Down Mike-Garth Duet

Posted on: March 16th, 2016 by Mel McCrae

Carrie Underwood is putting her foot down. There is no way her husband will sing a duet with Garth Brooks before she does.

During a recent interview with Country Countdown USA, she responded to a video she posted on Instagram of Mike Fisher singing “The River.” Garth responded, mentioning them doing a duet.

Carrie says that while Mike sings all the time, he often doesn’t know the words. “Sometimes I will film him, because he usually doesn’t know the words,” she explains. “But he was legit singing to ‘The River,’ so I filmed him, he noticed me, and tried to be all good.”

She says she asked her husband if she could post it, and he gave her permission. But they never expected Garth to respond.

As to his mention of a duet with Mike, Carrie says she told her husband, “You cannot sing with Garth Brooks before I do. When I was 10 years old I met Garth Brooks and said, ‘If you ever need someone to sing a duet with you, I’m your girl.’ So I’ve been waiting for that forever. And my husband who’s a hockey player is gonna sing with Garth? I don’t think so! I might cry if that happens.”Source: Taste Of Country

More ‘Little Fishers?’ Carrie Says, “At Least One More.”

Posted on: March 7th, 2016 by Mel McCrae

Not long after celebrating her son’s first birthday, Carrie Underwood tells People that more children are in her future.

In an interview with People, she was asked where she sees herself in five years, and she said she hopes to give Isaiah a sibling.

“I definitely see one more baby. At least,” she said. “Oh, Isaiah will be in kindergarten. Mike will most likely be retired by then. He’ll be 40! He’s like the second-oldest on the team already.”

She adds, she and husband Mike Fisher plan on their current Tennessee home to be their “forever home.”

“We’ll be living out here in the country,” the singer predicts. “We have land that’s five minutes away that we’re going to build on.”

The “Little Fish” nickname isn’t new. Back on Halloween, Carrie and husband Mike Fisher even planned to dress Isaiah as a little fish with them dressed as fishermen.

Carrie shared plans for Isaiah’s party with ET a few weeks ago at the Grammys, admitting she wasn’t even sure what she wanted to buy him for a gift.

“[We are throwing] a little party, just family and friends, people that are staples in his life. It won’t be anything fancy,” she said. “I’m like, ‘What do you get a 1-year-old for a present?’ I have no idea so I’ve been on Amazon trying to find presents for him.”

Carrie is currently out on her ‘Storyteller’ Tour.

And here's the deliciousness that the rest of us got to enjoy!!! Soooo goooood!!!!! @iveychilders @iveycakestore

Carrie Underwood Says Luke Bryan Would Help Her Survive A Zombie Outbreak

Posted on: February 15th, 2016 by Mel McCrae

Carrie Underwood was a guest on ‘Talking Dead’ last night (February 14) and said she was sure she would survive a zombie apocalypse and it would be Luke Bryan who would help her survive it.

“I know what you’re thinking, but I was born to survive the zombie apocalypse,” she told host Chris Hardwick. “My husband bought me this zombie-survival kit for Christmas. I have a machete, I know how to use it. My songs are quite aggressive at times. I’m not afraid. I would know what to do. I was born for this.”

Twitter followers weren’t so sure with some suggesting Brantley Gilbert would be a better choice:

Carrie will be on stage tonight at the 58th Grammy Awards where she is up for Best Country Solo Performance for her tune “Little Toy Guns.”

Carrie Underwood Has A Walker!

Posted on: February 1st, 2016 by Mel McCrae

Carrie Underwood is a typical mom, when her child hits a milestone, she wants to tell everyone who will listen. She took the opportunity at her first stop on her ‘Storyteller’ tour in Jacksonville, FL on Saturday (January 30) to tell her audience her son Isaiah tried walking for the first time in their city.

“She was just leading to her next song and talking about what a big year it has been and how she thought that touring and making albums would be the best thing in her life, but she was wrong, because she had a baby,” a fan told ET.

The crowd erupted in cheers to celebrate the accomplishment — a perfectly memorable way to start her tour.

The performance will be a Grammy first for him, but Carrie has become a regular on the show. Little Big Town is the only other country act confirmed to perform so far.

The 2016 Grammys are February 15 at 7PM CT and will be broadcast on CBS.

Carrie Underwood Takes A Page From Tim McGraw

Posted on: January 26th, 2016 by Mel McCrae

Carrie Underwood is known for having what may be the best set of legs in country music and she earned them the hard way, through hours in the gym. Over the years she’s made no secret of her workout schedule, and it seems even though she’ll be touring this summer with her son, Isaiah, she isn’t going to let the road slow her down.

New tour toys! Had a #mobilegym made for this year! Now I can work out anywhere! (There are a few finishing touches that still need to be done to it) My new motto is: #ShreddedBySummer The one and only @eveoverlandfitness is going to help me get there. I'll post progress as I go! I'm super excited!
