Blake Shelton About To Get Personal

Posted on: January 15th, 2016 by Mel McCrae

Blake Shelton is holding nothing back on his next album.

“I’ve written more than I’ve written in 15 years, for obvious reasons — all the awful things that have happened in my personal life — but the way the year ended is also the greatest of my life,” he told Country Countdown USA.

While there’s no title or release date, he says he hopes a new song will be on the radio soon with the entire album available in May.

“I want to get it out there,” he says. “It’s driving me nuts to not be already into that project because it’s all I’m thinking about.”

He continues, “I never felt more connected to a record before. When people hear this record, they may not know what happened to me, but they’re gonna know how I felt about it. And that’s exciting for me, to just lay it out there for people.”

“She’s happy and doing really, really well,” a source tells the magazine. “She’s busy recording and looking forward to the new year.” While we’re still waiting to hear about new music from Miranda, we do know she wrote and recorded a new song called “Sweet By and By” for the ‘Southern Family’ project. Anderson will contribute a song called “Learning.” The album will also feature Zac Brown and Chris Stapleton and will be out March 18.

Miranda officially broke the news about her new relationship on Instagram over the New Year’s holiday. She split from husband Blake Shelton in July.

The two were at the wedding of Blake’s hairstylist Amanda Craig, co-owner of the Leigh, Edwards & Company salon, in Nashville on Saturday, and, according to People, Gwen caught the bouquet with an unintentional assist from Blake.

New Album From Dierks Bentley On The Way

Posted on: January 11th, 2016 by Mel McCrae

Dierks Bentley’s new album title ‘Black’ is both literal and metaphorical. He says the album will be filled with dark moments, but also some sexy and quick-witted songs. And, as we’ve become accustomed to, again it will be a very personal album.

Black is his wife Cassidy’s maiden name, something he mentioned in a press release, indicating lyrics inspired by or aimed at her might be coming. “A lot of it happens after dark, in the black of night,” he said.

“The songs on Black range from the lonesomeness of an impossible relationship to ones that describe the feeling of finding that person that makes you forget the one that broke your heart,” he says.

This will be his eighth studio album on Capitol Nashville and his first since ‘Riser’, which was released in February 2014. No release date has been announced.

Dierks will co-host the 2016 ACM Awards in Las Vegas on April 3.

Gloriana’s Tom Gossin and his wife Jaime welcomed a baby boy on Thursday afternoon (Jan. 7). The singer made the announcement on the band’s Twitter page

This life event comes on the heels of the group’s future being put into doubt after Rachel Reinert announced she was leaving the band. Her tweet at her personal Twitter page said she was leaving to pursue a solo career, but there was no indication that she held any ill-will to either of her bandmates. As to their future on Warner Music Nashville, the label only says they’re evaluating all options as they move forward.
