Tyler Farr has been forced to cancel his tour with Lee Brice after being put on total vocal rest after undergoing surgery to remove a polyp on his vocal cords.
The ‘Life Off My Years Tour’ was announced in November of 2015 and is starting February 4 in Salisbury, MD, but in a post to Twitter on yesterday (January 27), Tyler broke the news that he won’t be able to make the dates.
Got news that I won’t be able to tour with @leebrice. Having microlaryngeal surgery and total vocal rest. I’ll keep y’all updated.

Tyler, who is an operatically trained vocalist, says he first noticed he was having problems last year when he was touring with Jason Aldean. He was diagnosed with a polyp on his vocal cords after coming down with bronchitis to end 2015.
“This is the last thing I would’ve ever expected,” he said in a press release. “I sing hard, and I give it everything I have every night, but I really believed I was putting my training to work. After a No. 1 song, an awesome tour with Jason and getting engaged, this is not how I thought I was going to be winding up 2015.”
