Cat Country 98.7 and The Cat Pak Morning Show have both been named finalists in the 60th CMA Broadcast Awards.

Cat Country 98.7, WYCT-FM, is nominated for Small Market Radio Station of the Year. “The Cat Pak Morning Show with Brent and Friends,” featuring Brent Lane and Jordan Glass, is nominated for Small Market Broadcast Personality of the Year.

The dual nominations recognize the station and morning show’s programming and community involvement. They also reflect the connection with country music listeners throughout Pensacola and Northwest Florida.

“To have both The Cat Pak and Cat Country 98.7 recognized by the Country Music Association is incredibly special,” said Cat Country 98.7 Program Director and Cat Pak co-host Brent Lane. “These nominations belong to Jordan, our entire Cat Country team, and our community partners. Furthermore, they belong to the Listener Family that allows us to be part of their lives every day. We are tremendously proud to represent Pensacola.”

A History of CMA Recognition

The dual nominations continue an award-winning tradition for the locally owned Pensacola radio station.

Cat Country 98.7 received CMA Station of the Year honors in 2017, 2019 and 2024. Lane received the CMA Broadcast Personality of the Year award in 2022. The Cat Pak Morning Show was also named a CMA Broadcast Awards finalist in 2025.

The CMA Broadcast Awards are among the most prestigious honors in country radio.

Broadcast Personality entries are evaluated on factors including their submitted aircheck, ratings, community involvement and overall impact. Meanwhile, Radio Station of the Year entries are evaluated on programming, ratings, community involvement, leadership and industry impact.

The 2026 CMA Broadcast Award winners will be honored November 18, preceding ABC’s live telecast of “The 60th Annual CMA Awards.”
