America’s Got Talent
This story is lovingly borrowed from the USA Today
Two contestants in the semi-final episode — Celine Tam, 9, and Angelica Hale, 10 — bookended the show with their larger-than-life vocals. The pint-sized stars were show highlights.
First, Celine sang her version of How Far I’ll Go from Disney’s Moana.
And at the end of the episode, Angelica performed a rendition of the David Guetta/Usher song Without You.
Her performance — which included an incredible run and high note — was lit. Yes, the fire helped.
Both young ladies were previously recipients of the Golden Buzzer, which sent them straight through to the live rounds. From the sounds of it, they have a good chance of making it to next week’s finals without the aid of a single judge hitting a button.
Another preteen who stood out in the semi-finals was dancer Merrick Hanna, who showed off his robotic moves and flew.
AGT is back on at its regular time Wednesday (NBC, 8 ET/PT), where it will reveal the results of viewer votes.
