Presented by Hanto & Clarke General Contractors, the one-day Radiothon brought together Cat Country 98.7 listeners, local businesses and families from across the Pensacola area to support specialized pediatric care close to home. ## New Pediatric Sedation Suite Will Serve More Than 1,000 Children Annually The Pediatric Sedation Suite is expected to benefit more than 1,000 children each year. Designed around the medical, emotional and developmental needs of children, the suite will provide a safer, less frightening and more comfortable environment for young patients undergoing medical procedures. The dedicated space will support: - Advanced imaging procedures - Lumbar punctures - Bone marrow biopsies - Other procedures requiring pediatric sedation For children with cancer and other chronic or complex illnesses, the Pediatric Sedation Suite will help create a more consistent and reassuring experience across multiple hospital visits throughout treatment. ## Local Families Share Their Stories During Cat Country Radiothon Cat Country 98.7 personalities Brent Lane, Jordan Glass and Chris Clare hosted the Radiothon alongside WEAR-TV’s Sue Straughn. Throughout the broadcast, local families shared heartfelt stories about their children’s medical journeys and the care they received at Studer Family Children’s Hospital. Their stories highlighted the hospital’s critical role in providing advanced and compassionate pediatric care to families throughout Northwest Florida. “It means so much to see our community come together to help make a difference for children and families,” said WEAR host Sue Straughn. “The generosity of local viewers and businesses continues to amaze me.
